MAUNDY THURSDAY
Thursday, March 29, 2018
Potluck and Service 6:00 pm
As the season of Lent comes to a close during Holy Week, we remember Maundy Thursday. Maundy Thursday comes from “mandatum novum” meaning “new commandment” referring to the Gospel of John in the 13th Chapter when while hosting a meal during the Passover (now referred to as the "last supper"), Jesus gets up from the table and begins washing the feet of his disciples. This event concludes with Jesus' new mandate for us to “love one another.”
Join Pilgrim Church as we come together in meal and service to remember Jesus' sacrifice and journey with him into Jerusalem for his final days before the crucifixion and resurrection.
